As a realtor i advise every buyer to get a home inspection. I give them the name of three and tell them to choose. As a realtor I am not qualified to explain the report that the inspector submits.. So many times the inspector sends the report via email to the realtor who makes all the copies for the client and the file and.....is expected to go over line by line the report!!!! Boyd Realty has a strict policy not to be involved in Home Inspections!!! The buyer needs to know that their report is unbiased and no one stands to gain! Home Inspectors need to take responsibility for their clients and serve them well. They need to put the same energy into serving them as they do in shifting liability to the realtor. If you are a buyer ask your inspector to answer to you the client directly! Brenda Boyd May
